HENRY BOOT CONSTRUCTION CONTINUE WORK AT THE ADVANCED MANUFACTURING CAMPUS, SHEFFIELD

Henry Boot Construction are continuing a significant infrastructure scheme at the Advanced Manufacturing Campus, for University of Sheffield. The 173-acre site is located at the former Sheffield City Airport, off Sheffield Parkway and forms part of major work to expand the area.

Currently the scheme entails the construction of a new Section 278 (S278) highway junction to create a dedicated route onto the park direct from Europa Link. In addition, sections of Europa Link are to be altered by widening the road, extending footpaths, and creating a bridleway. The roundabout will be adjusted to accommodate an additional lane and traffic signals will be installed at the junction of the new access road, including Toucan and Pegasus crossings.

The new access road links to the extensive infrastructure we previously installed. This included 650m of Industrial Estate roads built to adoptable Section 38 (S38) standards for Sheffield City Council and work consisted of tarmac roads, footpaths, service corridors, street lighting, highway drainage and main services.

Extensive hard landscaping has been provided throughout, linking the areas between individual development plots and complementing the overall site.
