Sunday 5 December saw St Luke’s annual Festival of Light make a return, after Covid prevented the Charity from hosting a face-to-face event in 2020. The evening was sponsored by Henry Boot, and the Group were well represented on the night, with employees handing out mulled wine and mince pies, and generally helping to make the event a success.
Festival of Light provides an opportunity remember and celebrate the lives of loved ones, with thousands of lights lighting up the gardens at St Luke’s, accompanied by music from Oughtibridge Brass Band and The Hallmark of Harmony Choir who performed on the night.
Well done to everyone involved, and thank you to Brad Longford, Sue Pinder, Debbie Smith, Sarah Adams, Amy Stanbridge, Laura Sims and Joanne Mitchell for volunteering and doing the Group proud, the evening was a huge success and was certainly enjoyed by everyone in attendance!
“Employees from across the Group wrapped up warm to serve up mince pies, mulled wine and hot drinks at the Festival of Light on Sunday, and we were all so happy to support a wonderful event and a great local charity. The ceremony itself was really moving, and it was fantastic to be part of it again this year in person.”
