Henry Boot PLC, a Group of companies creating sustainable value and long-term growth from land, property development and construction, announces the end of its chosen charity partnership for 2020-2021, whilst revealing plans for 2022 and beyond.
Based in Sheffield, Henry Boot has a strong reputation of supporting a range of fantastic charities, which in recent years has included charity of the year partnerships with St Luke’s Hospice Dementia UK and Mind. The latest Charity of the Year partnership saw the Group partner with The Children’s Hospital Charity, with the partnership being extended to 2 years to mitigate the impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic.
It proved to be a productive and impactful partnership that engaged Henry Boot employees through activities including quiz nights, skydives, and the annual Henry Boot Golf Day. In addition, the Group continued to sponsor the charity’s annual Snowflakes campaign and provided essential logistics and transport support for the hugely successful Bears of Sheffield campaign.
Henry Boot are delighted to announce that, in total, the Group has raised £33,000 to support the vital work performed by the Charity.
Moving into 2022, Henry Boot has decided to take an innovative new approach to charitable support and has introduced a cause-based partnership model. This will see the business focusing on a shared cause chosen by its people. For 2022-23 the Group will be supporting organisations that promote positive mental health.
With this new focus in place, the company is delighted to announce that Place2Be will be its new Group charity partner. Place2Be work in schools to improve the social, emotional and mental wellbeing of children and young people in the crucial formative years of their lives. By providing support in their early years, the charity prevents life-long mental health issues and helps children to cope with challenges throughout their lives, ensuring they can achieve their full potential.
Whilst Henry Boot will be focused on developing a strategic collaborative partnership with Place2Be, the Group will also be encouraging their regional teams to support and collaborate with various local charities and organisations that link to its chosen cause of promoting positive mental health.
“We are really excited to commit to collaborating with our partners to promote positive mental health for our local communities and look forward to supporting, collaborating with, and learning from our fantastic charity partners to do so. In particular, we are excited to be working with the amazing team at Place2Be who specialise in supporting the mental health of young people and look forward to raising vital funds and donating our time to support their incredible work.”
