We are connected to our communities.
A key outcome of our work is the long-lasting social value we generate for the communities we work with and alongside.
We support our communities, helping them address issues and challenges, and building more inclusive local economies. Often, we use our skills and creativity to support local projects.
Our people volunteer thousands of hours to good causes every year, for example, and our community fund allows them to nominate local sports teams, community organisations and charities for support. We also offer a significant number of entry-level job opportunities to young people and engage over 2,000 learners every year – exposing them to an industry and potential careers that they may not otherwise experience. And, in 2023, we donated £230,000 to charity and community groups – including £55,000 to our former charity partner Place2Be, which helps children with their mental health, aiming to intervene early to prevent life-long mental health issues. In 2024, we have a new charity partner in Crisis, the national charity for people experiencing homelessness.
